I know you might be thinking, “what tools can I use to find products other than Jungle Scout?!”
When I first started doing my product research, I was thinking the same thing. But with so many different options out there… what should I actually use to find good products to sell?
These next 5 alternatives to Jungle Scout will help you find and reverse engineer the sales of potential Amazon products
1. Viral Launch
In my opinion, Viral Launch is the best option when looking for other product research tools. They provide both a web app and chrome extension so you can look at all the data as a whole
At the moment, they support the following marketplaces :
- United States
- United Kingdom
- Germany
- Canada
- Mexico
- Spain
- France
- Italy
The biggest difference between from Jungle Scout is the massive amount of data that Viral Launch provides. For example, you can search by keywords, brand names, and categories.
They also provide data like previous years sales, reviews to sales ratio and a wide array of advanced filters to search with
My suggestion is to go with the monthly intermediate plan to get the best bang for your buck…
With a coupon, you can get that price down to around $40 per month
2. AMZ Scout
Currently, AMZ Scout provides four different tools :
- Web App
- Pro Chrome Extension – Search Results
- Chrome Extension – Profit Calculator
- Inventory Spy
Which are compatible with these countries :
- United States
- United Kingdom
- Germany
- Canada
- Mexico
- Spain
- France
- Italy
- India
The Web App allows you to set filters and search through the Amazon catalog for products that fit the criteria. Similar to Jungle Scout, it gives you a break down of sales, reviews, estimated monthly revenue and more
Once you’ve found potential products, you can then use the Pro Chrome Extension to quickly look at the product data for the search results of keywords. Also, like the Jungle Scout Chrome Extension Pro version, it gives you quick break down at the top of the average numbers
Last but not least is the FREE profit calculator in Chrome Extension form. This provides a quick break down of all the Amazon FBA Fees and also gives you an estimate of monthly sales for free. This is super nice when doing product research with free methods
3. Helium 10
Helium 10 offers a free account which gets you 20 free searches and limited access to all the other tools
The Web App is very similar to Jungle Scout but comes in around $37 for only the “black box” searching features. If you’re looking for a software suite that will help in all aspects, then Helium 10 is worth checking out
Here are a few of the other tools they offer :
- Trendster – amazon trend research
- Magnet – keyword research
- Cerebro – reverse ASIN search
- And more…
4. eGrow
eGrow provides an easy to use web app with four different tools to help in your product research phase :
- Product Tracker – some products will have pre-populated data if they are more established and the less established products won’t have any data right away
- Product Database – very similar to the Jungle Scout product database, giving you the filters needed to find a good product
- Live Amazon Scanner – which is their version of a chrome extension but instead is web-based inside the app. It allows you to look at the data for the products showing up in the search for any keyword
- KW & Niche Tool – this is very similar to Viral Launches different search categories as it lets you filter that Amazon catalog to look for good keywords and niches
As of right now, eGrow supports the following marketplaces :
- United States
- United Kingdom
- Germany
- Canada
- France
- Italy
- India
- Australia
5. Unicorn Smasher
Unicorn Smasher is a completely free chrome extension very similar to the Jungle Scout chrome extension
It provides estimated monthly sales volume, number of reviews and a whole lot more data on the search results for any keyword
Unfortunately, it doesn’t provide a web app to search the Amazon catalog so, this is perfect to determine the market size and competition. Another quick tip is that the chrome extension does not work on a specific listing. It only works on the search results for a keyword
The supports marketplaces are :
- United States
- United Kingdom
- Canada
- China
- Germany
- Spain
- France
- India
- Italy
- Japan
